Students of *P. B. Academic School* enthusiastically participated in the *World Mangrove Day Celebration* hosted by the *Birla Industrial & Technological Museum (BITM), Kolkata*, where learning, environmental awareness, and scientific exploration came together in an enriching experience.

The programme commenced with an engaging interactive seminar, during which experts highlighted the ecological significance of mangrove forests and the urgent need for their conservation. The students actively participated in the discussions, gaining valuable insights into the role of mangroves in protecting biodiversity, combating climate change, and safeguarding coastal ecosystems.

Adding to the excitement was an inter-school quiz competition that tested the participants' knowledge of mangrove ecosystems and environmental conservation. Demonstrating exceptional awareness and teamwork, *Adrija Acharya (Class X)* and *Shibangi Paul (Class XI Humanities)* secured the *Second Prize* among *nine participating schools* from Kolkata. Their remarkable achievement was recognised during the prize distribution ceremony. *Hridayesh Nag (Class XI Science)* also made a notable contribution by actively participating in the interactive sessions and discussions throughout the programme.

The visit concluded with an educational tour of the museum's fascinating galleries, where the students explored various fields of science through innovative exhibits and interactive displays. The experience broadened their scientific outlook while reinforcing the importance of environmental stewardship.

The World Mangrove Day celebration proved to be a memorable and inspiring event, encouraging the students to become responsible environmental ambassadors while celebrating their commendable achievement in the inter-school quiz competition.
