P.B. Academic School celebrated its *Annual Prize Day* with great pride and enthusiasm on *18th July 2026, honouring the achievements and dedication of its students. The occasion was graced by **Professor Amita Ray, renowned scholar and translator, who attended as the **Guest of Honour*.
The programme commenced with the *Principal's Report, presented by **Mrs Madhuparna Andrews, Principal of the school. The report highlighted the school's remarkable achievements and milestones during the academic session **2025–2026*, reflecting excellence in academics, co-curricular activities, sports, and holistic development.
The prize distribution ceremony recognised the hard work and perseverance of students from *Classes III to XII. Awards were presented for **academic excellence, highest marks in individual subjects, 100% attendance, and outstanding performance in Art and Craft. The recipients were honoured with **certificates, medals, and books*.
The prestigious *Principal's Cup for All-Round Excellence* was awarded to one student each from *Classes V and VIII*, acknowledging their exceptional achievements in academics, leadership, and co-curricular pursuits.
Special recognition was accorded to the *ICSE and ISC Board toppers* as well as the *subject toppers, who received certificates and medals for their outstanding performances. Among the ISC students, **Harshita Agarwal* and *Nishka Mondal* emerged as the school toppers, securing an impressive *98.25%*.The awards were presented by *Mrs Madhuparna Andrews, Principal, along with the **Guest of Honour, Professor Amita Ray*.
The ceremony also featured the presentation of several *Special Memorial Awards, instituted to commemorate distinguished individuals and inspire academic excellence. The **Memorial Award for English* was presented by *Headmistress Mrs Sumona Ash* and the *English Department, while the **Award for Excellence in Economics* was presented in honour of the school's *Rector, Mrs Usha Andrews. The programme also recognised the exemplary leadership of the school's **two Best Captains*.
One of the most eagerly awaited moments of the evening was the presentation of the *Cock House Cup, which was proudly lifted by **Tagore House* for its outstanding all-round performance throughout the year.
The school also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of its faculty members. *Ms Jayeeta Dutta Bhaumik* received the *Outstanding Creative Presentation Award, while **Ms Camelia Saha Das* was honoured for her exceptional work in *Public Relations*.
The celebration concluded on a joyful and emotional note as proud parents, students, and teachers came together to applaud the achievements of the awardees. In her concluding address, *Mrs Madhuparna Andrews* congratulated all the winners and encouraged every student to continue striving for excellence with sincerity, determination, and humility.
