80th Independence Day Celebrated with Grandeur at P. B. Academic School
The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great fervour and patriotic spirit at P. B. Academic School on 15th August 2026. The celebrations commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Principal, Mrs Madhuparna Andrews, in the presence of the Chairman, Mr P. K. Bhagchandka,
Management Trustees Mr Dhiraj Bhagchandka and Mrs Kirti Bhagchandka, well-wishers and distinguished guests, including Mr and Mrs Bansal and Mr and Mrs Goenka.
This was followed by the March Past and the singing of the National Anthem.
The Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Bulbuls were felicitated with badges in recognition of their dedication and achievements. The celebrations then continued in the school auditorium with a vibrant cultural programme.
Thumri Bag of Class XII Science led the school choir in a soulful rendition of Vande Mataram and Ae Watan, filling the auditorium with patriotic fervour. Students presented Bengali elocution performances highlighting the Indigo Revolution and the vision of a modern Bharat. A powerful theatrical presentation on the Indian National Army (INA), beautifully choreographed by the students, further enthralled the audience.
The highlight of the celebration was the much-awaited release of the school’s annual magazine, Vision, a cherished tradition observed every Independence Day. The magazine showcased the achievements, creativity and accomplishments of the school community.
The Principal expressed her gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration. The programme concluded on a patriotic note with the singing of Vande Mataram, leaving everyone inspired by the spirit of freedom, unity and national pride.
